Udupi: Finals of District-level Karaoke Contest ‘Kuhoo-Kuhoo’ on May 17

The finals of the ‘Udupi Kogile Anveshane’, district-level Kannada and Hindi karaoke singing competitions, will be held at Sri Vidhyaniketan Education Institutions, Kaup, near here, on Sunday May 17. 

“The contest has been organized by Bangalore based Kuhoo–Kuhoo Organization, with the support of P Suresh Shetty Kalattoor”, said Kaup Sri Vidhyaniketan Education Institution correspondent K P Acharya.
 
Addressing media persons at the news conference here on Thursday Acharya said that Kannada and Hindi karaoke singing competitions that were hitherto limited to urban areas will be held in the rural area such as Kaup, for the first time in the state. 

He added that it would serve as a platform for the rural talents.
 
Kuhoo–Khohoo Organization director and event organizer Suresh Babu said that around 30 competitors had reached the finals out of over 250 competitors from all walks of life. 
 
Veteran singers L R Eshwari, B K Sumitra, Jyoti Ravi Prakash, Aparna, Sandalwood child artist and actor Anirudh, Dramar Deva, Kannada actors Ganesh, Srinagar Katti, Muni, Karibasavayya, Mahendra and entrepreneur Suresh Shetty Kalattoor Gurme, K P Acharya, K Leeladar Shetty, Nityanand Shetty, will be present to witness the finals on Sunday.
 
Free entry passes are available for the contest and can be obtained from Sri Vidhyaniketan Education Institution, Kaup, Hotel Mayur, Hotel Vaishali, Dolly Studio, Hotel Trupti, Cassette Corner, and Asma Cassette Centre.
 
Social worker K Leeladar Shetty was also present at the news conference.
