Mangalore: Sri Rudranjaneya Gymnasium to present Taleemu Art Form on May 17

Mangalore, May 17: A programme of Taleemu martial art presentation will be held at Panambur beach here on Sunday May 17 at 6.30 pm. The event is being organized by Sri Rudranjaneya Gymnasium.

Over 20 artistes of the troupe will present various maneuvers, tactics and skills  involved with the  traditional Taleemu art form  of Tulunadu.

The artistes will perform various stunts like breaking the coconut, cucumber and betel leaves etc., that are placed at different parts of the body, with sharp swords. 

Sri Rudranjaneya Gymnasium had in the past, presented the talent of its members on various occasions at cultural fairs, Karavali Utsav, Beach Utsav organized by Kannada and Cultural department, etc.

Apart from the above, the team members have been given the honour of performing their art at the programmes of Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Tulu Sahitya Academy.

The gymnasium gets  the credit for being invited to present traditional and cultural art thrice at the Mysore Dasara procession.
