3 die of electrocution in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jun 19: Three people including two senior citizens were killed on being electrocuted after the first rains in the city on Friday.

Two senior citizens, both aged 60, suffered electric shock. They have been identified as Kashima Yudiyar from Andheri (East) and Rajendra Yadav from Goregaon (East). The other deceased has been identified as Sanjay Yadav (24) from Goregaon (East), said a spokesperson of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The police officials are investigating the incident for further details. The rain also brought with it a few accidents as few motorcyclists reportedly skidded in various places near Western Express Highway, Borivli and on SV Road.

Heavy rains lashed the economic capital on Friday as commuters witnessed problems of waterlogging and traffic snarls.
