Mangalore: Four Arrested on Prostitution Charges

Mangalore, May 21: The DCIB police arrested four people on prostitution charges from a residence near Valencia.
The arrested are Sunil kumar (24), resident of Bangalore, Riyaz C K (25) resident of Madhur village in Kasaragod, Riyana alias Riya (25) from Chikamagalur, and Sapna (25) from Kolkata.
Cash amounting to Rs 3,900, four mobile phones, and a bike were seized from them.
Rifle Seized
A rifle, stolen 17 years ago has been seized by the DCIB police from a house near Padeel Karmar, following a tip-off. One person has been arrested in this connection.
Police sources informed that the Lee and Field rifle which is used only by the police was stolen in 1992. There was a departmental enquiry of three police staff members in Mangalore rural police division following the incident.
