Udupi, May 25: Renowned writer Eshwaraiah expressed the view that the future of an artist can become brighter, if he hones his artistic talents through systematic education. Every art should flow perennially, enlightening people in the bargain. It should not be a flash in the pan. Every art has three facets, exhibition, education and creating experiences among creators, users or viewers he added.

He was speaking after presiding over a function organized at the Bhavani Mantap of Ambalpady Janardana Mahakali temple here on Sunday 24 by the members of Udupi Artists Forum, to hold art exhibition and felicitate painter Ramesh Rao on the occasion of his 60th birth day.

"Experiences can only be personal, never general. An artist tries to convey his experiences through colours and lines," he analyzed.

In his address, trustee of the temple V Vijay Ballal asked the government to allot the art galleries to districts like Udupi where the number of art lovers is more, rather than sanctioning them to districts based upon their importance.

Ramesh Rao couple was felicitated on the occasion. Palan Namboodiri, K Ramachandran, an artist from Bangalore, Kotiprasad Alva, KMC doctor Dr Kiran Acharya etc., were at the dais. Painter P N Acharya and Udupi Artists Forum secretary Suku Pangala were present.

An exhibition of selected paintings organized on the occasion by the Forum members to celebrate their president Ramesh Rao is birth day, succeeded in making the art lovers happy.
