Mangalore: Ramanath Rai Challenges Nalin Kumar Kateel to Reveal Truth Behind Claims

Mangalore, May 28: Ramanath Rai, district president of the Congress committee, urged newly-elected Member of Parliament (MP) Nalin Kumar Kateel to reveal the truth behind his comments on the former and the other Congress leaders who allegedly helped Kateel in the Lok Sabha elections.   

Rai, addressing a press conference at the city Congress office with MLA Abhayachandra Jain, referring to Kateel’s comment that Rai and Jain helped him win by favouring the BJP said, “He should come to Dharmastala Temple to reveal the truth”. 

Rai said, “We believed in the Congress party and we worked sincerely to help our candidate Janardhana Poojary win. Being the leader of one party, we could never support another party or its candidate”. 

“We believe Dharmastala Temple is the right place to reveal the truth. As per our belief, people can never tell a lie before Lord Manjunatha there”, added Rai.        

He said that there might be genuine reasons for the defeat of the Congress but not the reason as claimed by Kateel. Rai said that they believed in the Congress and in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Manamohan Singh.

    This is a white lie, even a  child  can understand that there is no truth in it. Let us use our common sense!! Had Mr. Rai and Mr. Jain helped Mr. Kateel in the election, he would never reveal the secret as he expects their help in the next election also remaining in the congress party. This is Mr. Kateel’s futile attempt to see them out of congress party as they are the toughest rivals. Only people of his calibre can play such games.

    Mr.kateel is trying to bring rift in the district congress committee by airing all these misleading statements.It will not work out anymore.Definitely he will do anything good for the people,instead he will waste his energy & time by indulging in these type of petty politics.I very sorry for all the people who voted for him.

Please note the following points: a) Mr. Karunanidhi (DMK President) still not known English and Hindi properly. b) He succeeded to got 7 Ministerial berth to DMK. c) 23 Congress elected MPs just completed Primary School Education..? Is Congress Party ready to appoint secretaries to these 23 MPs to translate English/Hindi...? 4) In 14th Loksabha Mr. Veerupakshappa (Congress MP from Karnataka) just passed SSLC. Congress Party not given Secretary to Mr. Veerupakashappa...? Be it known....?

    Right Said Shenoy maam. When a grandfather like Karunanidhi can shake the Govt at the center just by sitting in Chennai during his tenure as MP and speaking only Tamil, why cant our Young Kateel manage it in Delhi ?. Now until any new incident happens in mlore people do not have anything else to blame after the victory of BJP in the region. So all those looser mentalities have come up with this one new gimmick.

    Kannada language is officially accepted in Lok Sabha. A MP can ask questions in kannada in lok sabha as per constitution.So its not a must to talk in English. I urge all detractors of kateel to read the constitution first and then grumble.

    Wrong statement given by Mr. Kateel. Mr. Jain worked lot for congress. May be kateel got these votes from Third Front. Mr. Kateel should appoint secretary to translate his language in Hindi/English in The Lok Sabha Session.
