Bangalore, May 28:
Although the met department is yet to declare monsoon in Bangalore and coastal Karnataka, it has confirmed the arrival of monsoon
in Mangalore and expects it to reach the capital in a day.

Six days of more than 2.5-mm rain is expected in June, with a total of 81-mm rain accompanied by regular drizzle.

Muthuchami said low temperature and cloud formation indicate the arrival of monsoon. "But we will declare monsoon only after the city receives 2.5 mm rain. It's likely to rain on Thursday," he said.
