Mangalore: Malbari's Accomplice Ismail in Police Custody

Mangalore, May 28: The policemen, who produced Ismail, a close associate of Rashid Malbari of Chota Shakeel gang, arrested from Chennai Airport, have secured his police custody. They have begun investigation about the involvement of people who lent support to Malbari and Ismail in Kasargod.

The policemen want to hold detailed inquiry to find out the plots hatched by the two after finding a base in a house on the seashore in Chembarikka near Kasargod.  The policemen believe, Ismail whose native place is Kaup in Udupi district, has developed a network in Kasargod, with the help of whom he could get a house there. It may be recalled, that Rashid Malbari, wanted in various crimes committed by him as a leading member of Chota Shakeel gang, was arrested from a house in Chembarikka. During the raid on the said house, Ismail had fled and escaped.

The policemen are positive, they would be able to unearth the underworld’s connection with the people of Kasargod district, after intensive questioning of Ismail.
