Mangalore, May 29: JCI Mangalore, which had participated in the Karnataka state-level conference titled 'Suvarna Karntaka' held at Milagres Tri Centenary Hall, Kallianpur in Udupi district on Sunday May 24, has bagged first place in variety entertainment section.
In the competition under variety entertainment programmes category held on the occasion, it won the first place. JCI Mangalore had laid emphasis on the importance of Kannada language in the programme presented by it. It also succeeded in getting first prize in the Fashion Show event, in which it showcased different cultures prevalent in Karnataka. Mangalore chapter of JCI also got credit for the highest number of participants from a chapter, the release said.
