Moodbidri: Girl Dies after Getting Caught in Grass Cutting Machine

Moodbidri, May 29: A girl died in Takkode in Karinja village near here on Thursday May 28, after her hair got caught in the revolving parts of the grass cutting machine.

The unfortunate victim has been identified as Jesma (12), daughter of Jerome Crasta, a resident of Kajebail village. She was to join the seventh standard in the local school, having passed the sixth standard. At around 7 pm, her hair got caught in the belt of the grass cutting machine she operated near her home. She could not release herself and died as the machine continued to twist her hair, the police sources said.

Moodbidri police have registered a case.

    Its really unfortunate thing which has happened. Recently i had seen this little angle''s photo at uncle''s place in mumbai. I was shocked to hear the the news of her sad demise. May her soul rest in peace while god grant her grieved parents the strength. My advise to all people is that they should remove the fuse when the machine is not in use or they should fence round it with locked gate. Roni
