Puttur, Jun 1: In an accident involving a Santro car and goods tempo near Kavu in Madnoor village on Mani-Mysore highway near here, six people from Bangalore were injured. The accident occurred in the afternoon of Sunday May 31.
Bangalore residents Azizur Rahman (47), his wife Jabin Taj, children Afreen Taz, Rapriya, Aiman and Hanif were injured. The injured have been admitted into a private hospital in Mangalore for treatment.
Rahman was going to Mangalore along with his family members for tour purpose, when the tragedy took place. Out of the seven occupants of the car, Vainu, daughter of Azizur Rahman alone escaped unhurt, it is learnt. The condition of Azizur, who was driving the car, is stated to be critical.
