Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jun 2: State home minister Dr V S Acharya said that the police commissionerate sanctioned to the city will become operational within two months. He was speaking to reporters here on Monday June 1.

"A decision to set up the commissionerate here had been taken long back. Because of the election code of conduct that was in force, the process got delayed. All arrangements had been in place to set up the commissionerate by the end of March this year. However, as the election code of conduct came into force from March 2, we had to put on hold the preparations," Acharya explained.
