I think it is a good initiative taken.Leaning of Tulu language should be encouraged,as majority of people speak Tulu in Dakshina Kannada.Making Tulu the third language will give an option to students to learn the Tulu script as well.Thank You.

Current academic year already started Mr. Acharya..!! When the books prepared and Printed ???? Languages like Konkani and Tulu will not survive, if parents dont speak at home. There is no commercial interest to learn these languages in the school and hence will be neglected or given a option will not be taken.

Mr. Acharya first of all you do compulsory to talk kannada because kannada is karnataka state language. Then you talk about tulu language. In India all the states are having one state language but in Karnataka why several language? Can I get the answer from Acharya? Naveen, for your kind information in Dubai Arabic is their National language.

I love Tulu language as it unites the Karnataka coastal people. But children’s studying that language in school as third language is to be debated. Even though my mother tongue is Konkani and at present in school Konkani is taught as third language I had never advised my children to study this as its scope is limited to coastal belt only. If as third language is Hindi or Kannada, then the scope for Hindi is entire India and for Kannada the entire Karnataka State. Always poor children suffer due to lack of exposure of their parents and easily become victims of situations.

As per my knowledge English is International Language, Hindi is Indian National language & Kannada is Karnataka state language. Remaining all the languages, such as Tulu, Urdu, Byari, Konkani etc.etc...all languages are following depend on either religion or areawise. Than how Mr. Acharya telling that to instroduce Tulu language as a 3rd language in the school? how can take our children the burden of studying so many languages? Mr. Acharya must think about poor children''s problem.
