Mangalore, Jun 2: Narayani (70), who had gone to pick shellfish from the banks of river Netravati at Bajal Bolla on Monday June 1, slipped and drowned in the river water and breathed her last.
Narayani was a resident of Bajal. It is said, she slipped as the water in the river swelled suddenly due to the tide. Mangalore rural policemen have registered a case.
