Mangalore: Contractor Commits Suicide

Mangalore, Jun 3:  K P Santosh, who used to execute civil work contracts of the City Corporation here, committed suicide by hanging himself in the office of the contracting firm in the city on Tuesday June 2 morning.

It is reported that Santosh, a resident of Someshwar Sankodige, came to his office located near New Chitra Theatre in the city on Tuesday morning. He conveyed his decision of committing suicide over phone, to his family members. The people of the family immediately rushed to the spot, but by then he had already breathed his last.

It learnt, he had financial problems arising out of non-receipt of dues for works executed earlier. He also was suffering from certain psychiatric problems for which he was consuming medicines.  On a complaint filed by a person named Gangadhar Ullal, a case has been registered in Bunder police station here.
