Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Jun 3: Relating to the murder attempt on Suresh Kulal and Vishwanath Kulal at Kumudelu village near Farangipet on the night of Monday June 1, the policemen have arrested Imtiaz (25), Ashraf (23) and Shamir (26). On being produced in the court, they were remanded to 15 days judicial custody.

A sword the culprits had left behind at the scene of crime, has been confiscated. However, the two wheelers the attackers used are yet to be seized, informed circle inspector Nanjunde Gowda. The police attribute the assault to an extended enmity caused over a verbal altercation between two groups owing allegiance to two different political parties, who wanted to give credit to the leaders of their respective parties for the water supply facility provided to the village.
