Mangalore: Railway Engineer Loses Life in Accident

Mangalore, Jun 4: C V Anil (42), working as a section engineer in south railway at the Kankanady railway station here, died in a freak accident on Wednesday June 3.

When a goods train and its trolley were being repaired, the trolley that was expected to move forward lunged backwards, crushing the abdomen region of Anil, who was standing between the trolley and the goods train.

The deceased engineer had been working here since the last four years and stayed with his friends. He was a native of Ernakulam and is survived by wife and two children. His family members later in the day arrived in the city.
