Mangalore: JMFC Extends Judicial Custody of Accused in Naushad Kasim Murder Case

Mangalore, Jun 7: The nine persons who were accused of slaying young lawyer Noushad Kasim here on Thursday April 9, who were being held in Mysore jail were brought to the city and presented before the second JMFC court here on Saturday June 6.  

The judge after hearing the case, extended their judicial custody to Friday June 19. 

The accused are Dinesh, son of Timmappa Shetty of Beltangady, Ritesh, son of Laxman Kulal of Kodikal, Pratap, son of Laxman Shetty of Kavoor, Ganesh, son of Gangadar of Kodikal, Subramanya son of Ramayya of Kadri, Shivaprakash, son of Babu Bangera of Urwa Store, ‘Hawala’ dealers and Bangalore resident Rakesh Patel, as well as Rahul and Ravi Shukvani, residents of New Delhi-Chandni Chowk area, were presented in court.  

The first three of the accused were the sharp shooters involved in the murder while the rest had conspired with them. 

The court here has issued orders to present the accused Pratap and Ritesh in an identification parade.
