Beltangady: Gangman Dies after Fatal Fall from Electric Pole

Beltangady, Jun 8: A gangman of Mescom lost his life on Sunday June 7, after he slipped and fell down from an electric pole. He had climbed up the pole to attend to certain repair works.

He has been identified as Ashok (28) from Mandya, who was working as a monsoon gang man of Mescom. The incident occurred at Periyadka in Neriya, Beltangady taluk.

Mescom officials visited the spot. Beltangady policemen have registered a case.

    What a sad Incident, This is what happens when people work without safety how much would it have cost a device for lifting a person up to the top of the pole, now even if you pay 1000 times that amount you cannot wake that poor man.Mescom leave these unsafe practice''s and go with safety first.It should have been mescom official''s visited the spot and blessed it.
