Puttur: Truck-Car Collision - Five Injured

Puttur, Jun 9: In an accident that occurred at Kadambu of Perne village on national highway 48, five persons including four women, were injured. The accident occurred on the evening on Monday June 8, between a truck and a Maruti car.

Shahul Hamid, a resident of Atoor village near Uppinangady, who was driving the car, was admitted into a private hospital in Mangalore with considerable injuries. Uppinangady police station, where a case has been registered in this connection, is yet to get information on the four injured women.

The injured women are from Jalsoor village in Sullia taluk and relatives of Shahul Hamid. The accident occurred when the five were returning after taking part in a programme in Kalladka. The truck involved with the accident, bears Tamil Nadu state registration, and was carrying hollow blocks to Mangalore.
