Mangalore, Jun 9: A musical concert of sentimental all time Konkani hits including recent latest love songs was held at the Louisa and Francis Fernandes Cascia stage, Kalaangann, Shaktinagar here on Sunday June 7 as part of its 90th monthly theater.
The ace singers of Mandd Sobhann and other top singers drawn from ‘Soad–2’ and ‘Top–10’ singing competitions staged the musical extravaganza.
The songs were derived from Konkani poetry of late Cha Fra De Costa, George Pinto, Melvyn Rodrigues, and other poets.
Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy former president and Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario composed the music while Mandd Sobhann musicians and other singers delivered a memorable evening for the regular viewers and the weekend crowd at the picturesque Kalaangann here.
