Karkala, Jun 10: In an incident that occurred at Yennehole Valabail near Ajekar in the taluk on Monday June 8, a mother was killed by her own son, relating to a petty quarrel on a family issue.
It is said, Krishna Naik (52) and his mother Susheela Naik (75) from Valabail village fought over a disagreement on the night of Monday. Angry Krishna Naik hit the head of his mother with a wooden piece having sharp sides, inflicting serious injuries to her. She was taken to a hospital immediately, but died before reaching the hospital at about 10 pm.
Reportedly, a bitter disagreement on a family issue had been on between the mother-son since some time. On a complaint filed by Sandhya, grand daughter of the deceased, a murder case has been registered at Ajekar police station. Station house officer B M Timmaraju has been investigating.
