Bantwal: Sleepwalker drowns in Well

Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Jun 10: A teenager, who used to walk in sleep, accidentally fell into a well at Arala near Sornadu village in the taluk on Monday and lost her life.

The family members had seen Mamata (18) walking in her sleep even in the past. They used to escort her back home, as soon as they saw her walking in her dreams. On the night of Monday June 8 however, no one noticed her going out of the house in sleep.

Her body was found in the well on Tuesday morning, after the family went searching for her, as she was not at home. The family suspects that she had walked in her sleep and inadvertently drowned in the well.

On Sunday, the marriage ceremony of her brother and sister had taken place. A case of unnatural death has been registered in rural police station here.
