Mangalore: Jewellery Shop near Kaikamba in City Burgled

Mangalore, Jun 10:
Burglars entered a jewellery shop located at Kalikamba near Kulshekhar in the city and took away valuables. The theft came to light on the morning of Wednesday June 10.
 
The theft took place in a shop named ‘Jayashree jewellers’ in Seetha Building. An estimated 48 grams of gold ornaments and 1.5 kg of silver that were kept in show-case, were taken away by the burglars.

Shiva Kumar, owner of the shop, found that the shop’s shutter had been forcibly broken open, when he arrived at the shop on Wednesday morning. After finding that the ornament boxes had been displaced and the jewellery items had gone missing, he informed the police about the theft.
 
The policemen have observed that the theft occurred last night. A case has been registered in Kadri police station, based on the shop owner’s complaint.
