Mysore: Problems Persist in BJP State Unit, Admits Eshwarappa

Mysore, Jun 11: Energy minister K S Eshwarappa concurred, that the national leaders are scheduled to come to the city on Thursday June 11 to sort out problems in the party's state unit. "There are problems. That is why they are coming here," he stressed.

If there had not been any problems, the need for the visit of central leaders would not have been necessitated. “We will place before them the problems being faced within the party here. We are positive, our concerns and problems will be addressed,” he added.

"The BJP is not the ancestral property of any single leader or group of leaders. The party was built with the sacrifice, selfless efforts and single-minded devotion of many leaders. No one will be allowed to throw to the winds the principles and policies of the party. It is impossible to violate the principles and policies which form the basis for the party's existence," he reiterated.

Eshwarappa feigned ignorance about the meeting of legislators and ministers convened in Bangalore by Reddy brothers and the discussions MLA Somashekhar Reddy had with the Chief Minister. He also asked the journalists not to question him about the dissidence within the party, as he is not inclined to discuss the issue with them. He also refused to field any probing questions on this subject.
