Udupi, Jun 11: District deputy commissioner P Hemalata informed that 'Vikas Sankalp Divas' programme is being organized at Dr T M A Pai International Convention Centre, Mangalore on Friday June 12. The event is being held to celebrate the government's one year in office, she explained.

Addressing a preliminary meeting convened on Wednesday June 10 at the auditorium of the office of the deputy commissioner here, she said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will inaugurate the event at 10.30 am. MLA Yogish Bhat will preside.

Energy minister K S Eshwarappa, state home minister Dr V S Acharya, Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar, chief whip in the assembly D N Jeevaraj, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Karnataka government representative in Delhi V Dhananjay Kumar, Mangalore mayor M Shankar Bhat, Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraj Shetty and various others leaders will be present, she added.
