Mangalore: Suspected Swine Flu Patient Recovering

Mangalore, Jun 12: District health and family welfare officer Dr Jagannath has informed that Vishwanath from Karkala, who is suspected to have contracted Swine Flu, is recovering.

Vishwanath, who exhibited symptoms of Swine Flu, had been brought from a hospital in Karkala to a private hospital here, where he had been quarantined on June 9. His blood samples have been sent to Delhi and Pune for testing. The reports are expected to be received in a couple of days, he added.

Diagnosis not Confirmed: Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Ponnnuraj clarified, that Vishwanath's diagnosis has not been confirmed and that it is not yet certain as to whether he is actually suffering from this disease. A clear picture about the diagnosis of Vishwnath, who came from Egypt recently, will emerge only after the blood test reports arrive, he clarified.
