Bangalore, Jun 12: JD (S) state president and member of parliament H D Kumaraswami will be on a visit to Yale University, USA from June 21 to 26. During this period, he will undergo training in leadership, management skills and international relations.

He is part of a group of young parliamentarians from India to have been deputed to Yale University. The group is led by Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi. This seminar, being held for five days, is being organized under the India-Yale Parliamentary Leadership Programme.

Kumaraswami is happy about the fact that he will get good exposure through the programme. He said, he attended schools in rural areas and had never been to big universities. He felt, the visit will provide an opportunity to him to study the administrative style of Barak Obama, US president.

The programme, being conducted as a collaboration of FICCI and India-US Forum of Parliamentarians, was started in the year 2007 and is aimed mainly at benefiting younger leaders by providing them insight into the above subjects.
