Beltangady: Cops Nab Two More for Pilfering Fuel from MRPL Pipeline

Beltangady, Jun 12: Policemen headed by circle inspector Gangi Reddy, on Friday June 12, arrested Matrshree Bankers (a local pawn shop) proprietor Balakrishna Suvarna and Claude D’Souza, a resident of Kuloor, Mangalore, who were pilfering petroleum products by drilling a hole into Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) delivery pipelines at Dondole, on the bank of Netravati river, near Dharmasthala, here.  

With this, the total number of those arrested in this case has reached six. More arrests are expected in the case soon.   

The investigation into the illegal trade of pilfering fuel from the delivery pipelines is on under the leadership of assistant superintendent of police.  

The police have achieved a breakthrough in busting the racket of the illegal trade of hydrocarbon fuel by arresting Balakrishna and his accomplice Claude.  

Earlier, the police had arrested Sandeep, Radhakrishna, Girish, and Naresh, all residents of Kanyady and Dondole here on Thursday June 11 in this case.
