Karkala, Jun 13: A boy who had been to a tank near his home after his schooling hours for bathing drowned near Kukkundoor here on Friday June 12 .
He has been identified as Rajesh (12), son of Vittal Acharya, a resident of Ayyappa Nagar of Kukkundoor village in the taluk.
The boy had gone to a tank located near his home, after coming back from his school in the evening. It is said, he could not swim. He was rescued immediately and taken to the hospital but was declared brought dead.
