Mangalore, Jun 13: The students of Pallikere Government High School got the shock of their lives when their computers were switched on, on Friday morning. As the computers depicted nude and obscene pictures, bewildered students spread the news to others. As the teachers too came to know, power supply to the computers was switched off.

This school has a sophisticated computer laboratory with about 20 computers, which none of the high schools in the district can boast of. The students protested against the above incident and walked out of the classes. They boycotted the classes, even after the headmaster of the school and parents-teachers association president expressed regret and apologized about the incident. As such, a day's holiday was declared on Friday.

Recently, about 100 teachers of Bekal sub-district had been provided with computer training in this school. The lab has broad band connection too. After the training session, the computers gave out obscene pictures on Friday.
