Mangalore, Jun 18: A month-long Joint Replacement Camp is under way at the city-based Unity Health Complex. The camp is being held from June 16 to July 16, 2009.

During the camp, patients are being offered consultation and x-ray services free of cost. The Hospital said that during the camp, joint replacement surgery is being performed at a highly reduced price. The Hospital authorities have also informed that those suffering from ostro arthritis of the hip, knee and shoulder, rheumatoid arthritis of hip, knee and shoulder besides post traumatic arthritis of hip, knee and shoulder can avail of the benefits of the camp.

Dr Sachidananda Rai, consultant orthopaedic and joint replacement surgeon, has informed that joint replacement surgery offers immediate pain relief and mobility.
