Beltangady: Murder Attempt on Youth at Manjotti

Beltangady, Jun 19: A gang of eight people forced their entry into a shop in Manjotti in the taluk on the night of Thursday June 18 and attacked a youth working there with a sword.

The victim is Rakesh (22), working in a shop named 'Udaya Fancy' in Manjotti. In a complaint filed with the local policemen, Prakash, Suresh, Shashidhar and some others from Laila village have been accused of attacking Rakesh. Gravely injured Rakesh is being treated in a hospital and is out of danger.

It is being analyzed, that the gang was angry at Chandrashekhar Shetty for objecting to the behaviour of a few members of the gang when they had tried to eve-tease a girl two days ago.
