Kundapur, Jun 19: In an incident that occurred at Tallur near here on Thursday June 19 evening, an entrepreneur was assaulted by a group of youth.
Entrepreneur and gram panchayat former member Stany Almeida has complained to the police that he was assaulted by a group of six members after stopping him in the town. Almeida has further alleged that the group of youth belonged to a pro-Hindu organization.
In the complaint, Almeida has further stated that on Wednesday June 17, when the youth of pro-Hindu organization had threatened another youth belonging to Karnataka Rakshana Vedike in front of a shopping complex in the town, he had advised the former youth not to indulge in such acts. The Thursday’s assault was an act of revenge by the supporters of the same youth, he alleged in the complaint. Police investigation is on.
