Beltangady: Oil Pilferage from MRPL Pipeline - All Accused Secure Bail

Beltangady, Jun 20:  The local court has granted bail to all the accused persons in the case pertaining to the rigging of a hole in the pipeline of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd carrying oil to Bangalore at Dondole near here and siphoning off diesel and petrol from the pipe, valued at several lacs of rupees..

They are Balakrishna Suvarna from Yermal House from Kanyadi Narya, Silva Claudy D'Souza from Rayikatte House, Padukody Mangalore besides Radhakrishna Nair, Sandeep Rai, Naresh Devadiga and Girish Devadiga from Dondole village who worked as watchmen for MRPL. In the meanwhile, Balakrishna Suvarna has been slapped with a case relating to pledging of spurious gold ornaments in a bank.

Local lawyer Subrahmanya Agartha represented all the accused.
