Mangalore, Jun 22: A two-day seminar on 'Uses of jack fruit, processing and marketting' will be held on June 26 and 27 at the Agricultural Science Centre located in the premises of the Fisheries College at Yekkur, Kankanady in the city.
At the Mela, experts will be providing information on the breeds of jack fruit, technical information on growing the fruit, post-harvesting technology, value-addition, importance of jack fruit tree, attributes of jack fruit timber, setting up of the Association of Jack Fruit Growers, its activities etc.
Demonstration of making tasty and nutritious food items out of the fruit will also be held on the occasion, a release said.
