BJP will become Irrelevant Unless it Changes Course: Moily

Bangalore, Jun 22: Union Law Minister M Veerapa Moily today said BJP should learn its lessons from the Varun Gandhi episode and warned that the party would become irrelevant unless it corrected its course.

"They must learn their lessons from it...If they do not correct their course, they will become irrelevant," he told reporters here reacting to reports that the Hyderabad-based Forensic Science Laboratory had confirmed that the CDs containing Varun's "hate speeches" were not doctored.

"Right from the beginning, we have been saying that it had not been doctored," he said.

"This has been the culture of the BJP," he said after a felicitation programme held by the state unit party to honour Congress leaders from Karnataka who have been appointed as Union ministers.

He said there was no need for Congress to react to the fact that the CD was not doctored as the people of the country "have already given their answer".

He said it was up to the district magistrate now to take appropriate steps regarding FSL confirming that the voice in the tape was that of Varun.

Cases were lodged against the 29-year-old BJP MP from Pilibhit for delivering "hate" speeches during public meetings at Barekhera and Lalauribaugh on March 7 and Deshnagar on March 8. Varun had claimed that the tapes were doctored.

Mr.Moily, you are riding high just on recent win of Cong. Please wait for 5 more years & let us see who is going to be relevant or irrelevant. BJP has learnt the mistakes & is working on it. Thanks for your suggestions and keep it safe for yourself.
