Ashok Haranahalli is New Advocate General of Karnataka

BANGALORE,  Jun 22: Noted advocate Ashok Haranahalli has been appointed as the new Advocate General of Karnataka.
Karnataka governor Rameshwar Thakur issued the order appointing Ashok Haranahalli as the state’s advocate general with immediate effect.

The state cabinet had at its last meeting authorized chief minister B S Yeddyurappa to name the new Advocate General following the resignation of Uday Holla. 

Ashok Haranahalli had served as the state’s additional advocate general. He had also worked under former advocate general B V Acharya. The 51-year-old new advocate general  is the son of the veteran Congress leader and former minister  Ramaswamy Haranahalli , who passed away recently.
