Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SB)

Mangalore, Jun 23: The red corner notices to two underworld fugitives from the region, Bannanje Raja and Ravi Poojary has been issued and the state police has begun intense operation to nab the two, said inspector general of police (IGP) (western range) Gopal B Hosur.

Red corner notice is a tool to alert the international police about criminals, who operate from undisclosed locations. A gang allegedly working for underworld gangsters Bannanje Raja and Ravi Poojary, who were arrested by Bangalore city police, recently have revealed that the duo were involved in threatening the builders and entrepreneurs for hafta.

Now the issuance of red corner notices will help the Dakshina Kannada (DK) district police take the gang members arrested by Bangalore police into their custody for further investigations. It is necessary that these gang members are interrogated to get a lead into the recent underworld activities held in the district, added Hosur.
