Mangalore, Jun 24: City Corporation mayor Shankar Bhat said, that works under the Rs 100 crore special package sanctioned by the state government for the city development, are being executed in a systematic manner. "The progress review of the works was conducted in a meeting held on June 22 in which the district-in charge minister, MLAs and the district deputy commissioner were present.

Transparency has been maintained in all the works conducted so far. In the coming days, footpaths will be provided in all the roads that have been concreted. Out of Rs 100 crore, Rs 64.24 crore was used for concreting and another seven crore rupees for repairing of smaller roads. Rs 5.17 crore has been set aside for shifting of the necessary services. A sum of five crore rupees will be required for acquiring of the land for setting up bus stand," he explained at a press conference held here on Tuesday June 23.

Deputy mayor Rajani Dugganna, commissioner P G Ramesh and executive engineer Rajashekhar were present.
