Karkala, Jun 25: A person named Sharan Muddanna, a resident of Hirgana village near here, who was believed to have been murdered, returned home recently. He had been missing since about the last three years. With his arrival, the man who was accused of killing Muddanna, has been relieved.

Satish Shivanna from Hirgana runs a video parlour in Mumbai. Sharan, who used work for him since the year 2004, disappeared with cash amounting to Rs 36,000 from the shop in July 2006. As he came back after some days and apologized for what he had done, Satish offered him the job again. However, on the same day, Sharan went missing again, reportedly with another Rs 6,000. Satish had filed a complaint with the Mumbai police in this regard.

In the meantime, the family members of Sharan used to spread the rumour that Satish had murdered Sharan. Reportedly, they pestered Satish for money, threatening him of filing a murder-complaint against him. Sharan suddenly came back home on June 19.

Satish, who came to know of Sharan's arrival, rushed here and complained to the Karkala police. The Karkala rural policemen arrested Sharan on Tuesday June 23 and released him after obtaining a bond from him. Satish said, he will move ahead with his complaint with the Mumbai police.
