M'lore: Mandd Sobhann to Stage Monthly Theatre on the theme, ‘Ajaal’ on July 5

Mangalore, Jun 26: Mandd Sobhann, a Konkani organization that created a history by entering the Guinness Book of World Records, by staging a non-stop Konkani singing for 72 hours during 2008, will be organizing its ninety-first monthly theatre themed ‘Ajaal’ which promises to unravel the glimpses of traditional life of agrarian-based Mangalorean Konkans in the past. The show will exemplify the love and bonding shared by grand parents with their dear ones till a few decades ago. This monthly theatre will be staged on Louisa and Francis Fernandes Cascia amphitheatre at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar, here at 6.30 pm on Sunday July 5.
The show will present the contemporary Konkani traditions and customs, folk songs, old-adages and cultural hierarchy passed through generations.
Ajaal is conceived and will be directed by Denis Monteiro. Sangeet Guru Joel Pereira, musicians Victor Lobo, Rony Crasta, Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario, president Luvi Pinto and others will assist in the show.
