Mangalore: Judicial Custody for Chetan Shetty Murder Accused

Mangalore, Jun 30: The four persons, who were arrested by the policemen in connection with the murder of a shopkeeper named Chetan Shetty on May 28 at Jeppu Kudupady, were remanded to judicial custody by a court here on Monday June 29.

Accused Mustafa, Hamid Sarfan, Mohammed Azaruddin and Mohammed Ashraf were produced in the court of the Junior Magistrate First Class (JMFC) here by the policemen on Monday. Pandeshwar police inspector N R Mukri said, they would seek police custody of the accused for further interrogation in the coming days.

The other accused in the case, Farooq, who is said to have masterminded the murder, is absconding. Search operation is on to nab him.
