Bangalore: State Gets New Chief Election Commissioner

Bangalore, Jun 30: IAS officer Suranjan has been appointed as the new Chief Election Commissioner of the state. He will replace the current incumbent M N Vidyashankar. Vidyashankar has been transferred as the chief secretary of the department of e-governance.

Senior IAS officers B L Sridhar and Vandita Sharma have been given the posts of the managing director of Food and Civil Supplies Corporation and special administrative officer of Karnataka Health System Development and Reform Project respectively. M S B Jhalaki has been posted as the secretary of the department of labour, S R Umashankar as the commissioner of employment and training while B S Vastrad has been shifted as the commissioner of Hubli-Dharwad City Corporation.

    Sir,

    I may be permitted to bring to your kind notice the following facts for your perusal and necessary relief please:

    I am residing at house no 110, 7th main Avalahalli BDA Layout Banashankari III Stage Bangalore 560085 which was coming under erstwhile Uttarhalli constituency.

    In the recent past, 1st to 5th mains of this said layout were brought under Basavanagdi constituency and the other 5 mains(6 to 10)were brought under Vijayanagar constiuency and the voters list has been published:- Voters list no 235 under Vijayanagar constituency(167).

    Un fortunatly whole of this area(6th main to 10th main)in the voters list has been notified under Avalahalli Bangalore 560026 not withstanding the fact that even as on today the postal address is still as Banashankari III Stage Bangalore 560085

    Hence, I request you to do the needful so that the postal address and the election Id address remains one and the same for the above said place
