M'lore: Footboard Passengers Hit Coconut Tree: One in Serious Condition

Mangalore, Jun 30: Siblings Harish (32) and Diwakar (25), residents of Vorkady Alabe, who were travelling in a crowded bus, were hit by a roadside coconut tree near Derlakatte on Monday June 29.

The two were preparing to alight from the bus at Derlakatte to catch a bus to Taudugoli a few metres ahead of the bus stop, when all of a sudden they were knocked down by the coconut tree. Diwakar, who was hit in the head, is in serious condition. He has been admitted to Kankanady hospital. Harish sustained injury to his waist.
