Udupi: Cargo Truck Rams Passenger Bus 4 Critically Injured

Udupi, Jul 2:
Four persons were critically injured in a tragic accident that occurred near Saligrama bus stand located on National Highway 17, near here, on Wednesday July 1.
 
A cargo-laden truck plying towards Kundapur rammed into the oncoming private express passenger bus Sri Mookambika near Saligrama bus stand at 4.00 pm on Wednesday.
 
As a result, four persons including the driver of the bus were critically injured while many others miraculously escaped with minor bruises. 

The locals rushed to the rescue of the critically injured and took them to KMC Hospital, Manipal. Details pertaining to the critically injured persons have not been made available yet. 

Traffic was blocked for about half an hour till the traffic police arrived and cleared the path of both the vehicles involved in the accident. 
 
Sources said that the entire stretch of the national highway becomes extremely slippery which catches truck drivers off-guard and they find it difficult to maneuver their vehicles.

Kota police have registered a case in this regard and the investigation is on.

    Whether it is road accident or any other accident, in the news down below it is always mentioning that police have registered a case in this regard and the investigation is on. But till now unfortunately the police nor the road department never come out with immediate action plan how to prevent accidents.
