Mangalore, Jul 2: Four persons including National Students Union of India (NSUI) district president Tejaswi Raj, who were arrested on Tuesday June 30 on charges of making use of fake credit cards to buy five mobile phones from a cellphone show room in the city, were remanded to three days of police custody by a court here on Wednesday. There is information that this gang was involved with several such frauds at various establishments, having been lured by the desire to lead a luxurious life.

Accused Mohammed Riaz, Sajid, Abdul Majeed and Tejaswi Raj were produced by the Pandeshwar policemen at the second JMFC court here. At the same time, the policemen sought custody of the accused. The judge concurred with the request and handed them over to police custody. Reportedly, the accused, hailing from reputed families, had bought mobile phones from Span Telecom on Falnir Road here on October 19, 2008 by presenting fake credit cards.

The policemen want to get to the root of the operations of the gang and the possibility of the people concerned, having been involved with more such frauds.

"The incident is inhuman. Outfits like Sri Rama Sene have been taking law into their hands with such attacks in frequent intervals. It is not a one-day story. It seems the BJP government has failed to control the situation and the police invariably arriving on the spot after the media looks more like as if it is done on purpose than due to lack of information. Law enforcers are thus forcing us to take law into our own hands." These were the words of So called NSUI President Thejaswi Raj when Sriram Sene attacked on pub. Now what Sriram Sene will comment on this ?
