Mangalore: Thief held: Five Two-wheelers Recovered

Mangalore, Jul 2: Muhammed Ali (26) from Kasargod Paivalike, who has been engaged in stealing two-wheelers since some time, was arrested by the policemen of the Bunder police station here, on Wednesday July 1. They have recovered five two-wheelers valued at Rs 1.15 lac from him.

Ali is a resident of Arafa Manzil in Kuntangeradka Kudalmerkala of Paivalike. A Kinetic Italiano, two Bajaj Kawasaki bikes and two Honda Activa vehicles were recovered from his possession. He reportedly confessed to have stolen one of the Kawasaki bikes from near Pumpwel Circle, the other from near the government college, a Honda Activa from near Ganesh Mahal Lodge at K S Rao Road here, a Kinetic Italiano vehicle from Tokkottu and the other Honda Activa from Car Street in the city.

The operation was led by sub inspector Manjunath K R in association with probationary sub inspector Eshwari P N, with the help of other police personnel.
