Mangalore: Two Drown in Different Accidents

Mangalore, Jul 2: On Wednesday July 1 night, a person named Nagaraj (24) from Davangere Ramanagar, fell into the sea water at around 10.15 am near the jetty of Bunder area in the city. It is said, he was relieving himself when he slipped and fell into the water. Efforts of the people to rescue him did not materialize. There are reports that he was drunk at the time and hence, lost his balance.

Devaki (56), wife of Manjappa Gowda from Sevadamajal of Moodupadukody village of Bantwal taluk slipped and fell into a canal near her home. She was washing clothes at the canal on Wednesday evening, when she accidentally slipped and fell into the canal. She was washed away and her body was found at midnight.
