Puttur: Soldier Wounded in Bike-Bus Accident

Puttur, Jul 3: In an accident that occurred at Neeraje in Koila village near Kadaba on Thursday July 2 morning between a motor bike and a KSRTC bus, Jerlad Joseph D'Souza (24), son of Geoffrey D'Souza, resident of Kalyar in Ramakunja village, suffered grave injuries.

Jerlad was going to Puttur with his father in the motor bike for drawing money from the ATM when the accident occurred. He was serving at Srinagar and had been on a two-month leave from the army for visiting his parents. He was to return on Thursday night.

He was initially admitted into a private hospital in Mangalore with grievous head injuries and later, shifted to the military hospital in Bangalore for further treatment.
